How to set up an online vote

One question, clear options
Add a single-choice field, or a field where several options can be ticked — handy for picking dates.

Anonymous or named
Anonymous mode turns off sign-in and voter profiles, so no name or account is stored with a vote. If you need names, add a name or e-mail field.

Set the start and end
The vote opens and closes at the times you set. It can also close after a chosen number of votes.

Share a link or a QR code
Send the link by e-mail or chat, print the QR code on a poster, or embed the form on your website.

Follow and publish the results
The summary shows how often each option was picked. You can publish the results by link — voters then see vote counts, not who voted how.
Publishing vote results
Only what you choose
Publishing is off by default. You turn it on in the form's sharing settings and pick which questions appear.
Counts only
The public page shows totals and the spread of votes. Text answers cannot be published and individual responses never are.
Protection for small votes
Set a minimum number of votes before results show. With five voters you could otherwise work out who voted how.
Switch off any time
Turn publishing off with one switch and the results page stops existing.
One vote per person
An open, anonymous vote cannot guarantee that nobody votes twice. The one-response-per-person limit works for voters signed in to their respondent account. For informal team decisions that is usually fine. Binding votes, such as written resolutions of an owners’ association, follow their own rules and may require a handwritten signature.

Will voters see the results?
Only if you turn it on. You can publish results on a separate page that you share by link; it shows vote counts for the questions you choose.
Can I make sure everyone votes only once?
For voters signed in to their respondent account, yes, with a per-person response limit. For an anonymous vote on a public link it cannot be guaranteed.
Can people vote on a date?
Yes. List the dates as options and let people tick every date that suits them; the summary shows which one has the most votes.
Can I share the vote as a QR code?
Yes, every form has a downloadable QR code pointing at its address.
