Confirmation emails

The most common question after submitting a form is “did it arrive?”. An automatic confirmation email answers it before anyone asks — and attaching a PDF recap gives the respondent a record at the same time.

Three kinds of message

Confirmation to the respondent

Sent automatically after submission. Optionally with a PDF recap of the whole response, signature included.

Team notification

Alerts to the addresses you choose, so sales, service or accounting know a response arrived.

Conditional emails

Different content per answer: whoever chose an exchange gets different instructions than someone asking for a refund.

How to set it up

  1. 1

    Enable the confirmation email

In the form settings. Choose whether to attach a PDF of the answers.

  2. 2

    Write the content

Edit the text in the editor — thanks, next steps, payment details, contact.

  3. 3

    Add rules

For conditional emails, decide when each one is sent. The first matching rule wins.

  4. 4

    Ask for opt-in

An optional confirmation opt-in for respondents, if you do not want to send it every time.

Signatures are embedded inline in the message body, because mail clients routinely block remote images.
