Online form with an electronic signature
Contracts, consents, GDPR forms, handover protocols — any time you need a signature without printing, scanning and posting. Signature is a standard field type in Gatherino. People sign with a finger on a phone or tablet, or with a mouse on a desktop, and the signature is drawn into the final PDF.
Two signing modes
Draw
The respondent draws their signature by hand — a finger on a touchscreen, a mouse or trackpad on a desktop. Tablets are ideal.
Type
The respondent types their name and it is rendered in a script font (Great Vibes or Playfair Display SC). Faster, but less personal.
Legal standing
Under eIDAS (EU 910/2014) Article 25(1), an electronic signature may not be denied legal effect and admissibility as evidence solely because it is in electronic form. In the Czech Republic, Section 561 of the Civil Code follows the same line for ordinary contracts.
That is not the same as a qualified electronic signature. For documents that require a specific form, or where you expect a dispute, check what level of signature the law demands. Gatherino does not verify the signer’s identity — it records what was signed, when, from which IP address and in which browser.
What gets stored
The signature is stored as an image attached to the response, together with metadata: IP address, submission time and browser. That metadata is the audit trail.
The response including the signature exports to PDF, XLSX or a ZIP archive at any time. With “Attach a PDF copy” enabled, the respondent also receives the signed PDF by email right after submitting.
FAQ
How do I add a signature field?
In the form editor, pick “Signature” from the Files category in the left panel, drop it on the canvas and choose the mode (draw or type).
Does it work on a phone?
Yes — signing with a finger on a touchscreen works the same as signing with a mouse. Tablets are the most comfortable.
Can the respondent get the signed PDF?
Yes. With “Attach a PDF copy” turned on, they receive a PDF with their rendered signature by email after submitting. As an admin you can download it from the dashboard at any time.
