Things to check

  • Real estate usually needs a formal deed and certified signatures for the land registry — an online form signature is not enough there.
  • Large gifts can have tax consequences for the donor or the recipient depending on the country; check the local rules.
  • A written agreement is useful as proof of where money came from, for example for a mortgage application.

How to fill in and sign it online

  1. 1

Turn the template into a form

Anything that changes — names, addresses, amounts, dates — becomes a field. The fixed wording goes in as a text block, so the other side reads all of it but cannot edit it.

  2. 2

    Add a signature field

People sign with a finger on a phone or with a mouse. When both sides sign at once, for example at a handover, add two signature fields and sign on one device.

  3. 3

    Send the link

A link, a QR code or the form embedded on your site. It works on phones and computers, with no app and no account.

  4. 4

    The PDF arrives by e-mail

After submitting, a PDF with the answers and the signature is generated and e-mailed. Every response keeps the time and IP address as an audit trail.

Where the template ends and a lawyer begins
